Shepherd Mountain Bike Park

Opened in 2021, this has quickly come to be considered one of the premier downhill bike parks in the country!

Already host to two Big Mountain Enduro races, one of the largest mountain biking enduro races in the country, riders from over 23 states and numerous foreign countries, as far away as Australia, have learned about Arcadia Valley.

With the already existing outdoor venues that are within 15 minutes of the valley, recent and upcoming developments will make this a premier destination for people across the country.

Having the park also creates a real attraction to employees who enjoy the outdoors.  It's a nice perk that you don't have to pay for!

If you're just interested in moving your family here, this area has all the outdoor activities you could want, as well as the bike park, to keep you physically and emotionally fit.

Ozark Run Scenic Byway Proposal

proposal has been made by Scenic Missouri to create the Ozark Run Scenic Byway, which will be a loop of Missouri's "back roads" that will run from St. Louis to Saint Genevieve.

Scenic Byways across the country have proven to significantly increase tourist traffic after implementation.  This will be a positive for tourism related businesses along the route.

We're excited because the Ozark Run Scenic Byway will be coming through the heart of Arcadia Valley!

The project is currently going through the approval process, as each city along the route has to approve it.  However, it is expected to receive approval. If approved, signage could be installed as early as 2023!

Shepherd Mountain Bike Park Expansion

Discussions are under way on Phase II of Shepherd Mountain Bike Park.  Verbal approval has been reached from our funding source and now we must cross all the t's and dot all the i's before construction can begin.

It has been understood from day one that Phase II expansion would be the economic driver for the community that is needed.  Phase II will provide "family friendly" trails and will appeal to the 85% of mountain bikers that don't do "downhill".  We'll also be creating some additional downhill trails that will enable riders to more easily transition into downhill riding.

What specifically is planned?

  1. A "true" blue trail that will allow beginners to start their journey to downhill greatness!

  2. Miles of cross-country trails that will be linked to the downhill park for easy movement between the two.

  3. Bike paths that interconnect the three cities in Arcadia Valley so riders can traverse the entire area by bike.

  4. A skills park.

  5. More, to be announced later.

If you own a business, relocating to or near Arcadia Valley will provide your employees a fantastic perk that isn't available to most workers.  That's in addition to the four state parks and numerous other outdoor venues we already have!
